George Walker Bush ( /ˈdʒɔrdʒ ˈwɔːkɚ ˈbʊʃ/ (help·info); born July 6, 1946) served as the 43rd President of the United States from 2001 until 2009. He was the 46th Governor of Texas from 1995 until 2000 before being sworn in as President on January 20, 2001.
