The devotees attend the first sermon to hear their current Spiritual Leader Inkosi Vimbeni Shembe's service as they celebrate the founding of the church by their founder Prophet Inkosi Isaiah Shembe 100 years ago. The church was founded in 1910 and is one of the largest African traditionalist churches in Africa. They walk barefeet and spent the day praying, worshipping, singing, dancing. Some devotees believe that attending the service of their Spiritual Leader Baba Vimbeni Shembe has cured people of various illnesses and many other 'miraculous' events taking place such as humbling oneself. The 6 millon strong followers are to showcase and participate in the activities leading to the 2010 FIFA World Cup soccer tournament beginning on 9 June 2010 in South Africa.
